Success story: Caroline went from poor health to good health

We received an uplifting story from one of our customers that we'd like to share:

After giving birth, I became very unwell. I could barely climb a single step without gasping for air. My energy decreased, I became irritable, had little patience, and was often sad. After a visit to the doctor, it turned out that my thyroid wasn't functioning well. I was on the borderline for hypothyroidism, so-called subclinical hypothyroidism. Over the next couple of years after giving birth, I had periods where I felt so unwell that I could barely get out of bed for weeks. My thyroid also fluctuated between hypo (underactive) and hyper (overactive). With all the symptoms of thyroid disease, I could now relate it to my childhood – I’ve probably always had issues with this. As a child, I had a period where I lost a lot of weight, and people thought I had anorexia. I also had a lump sensation in my throat – something I didn't understand until now what it meant. After giving birth, I had exactly that classic lump feeling in the throat that can be caused by thyroid problems. Throughout my adult life, I’ve suffered from depression off and on and barely had the energy to work part-time or even 25%.

The first thing I did after my diagnosis with a conventional doctor was to order a hair mineral analysis and get help from a nutrition therapist. Despite my skepticism regarding synthetic and inorganic supplements, I took them on the therapist's recommendation – I was desperate! During the long months I took them, I didn’t feel like myself. It was like walking in a brain fog. I stopped after reading about the side effects of this type of supplement. Supplements that are considered high quality in the world of nutrition therapists actually made me worse. [Greatlife has modified the text and removed the names of the supplement brands that Caroline received from the therapist.] Instead, I started herbal therapy, which helped a bit. And over time, I also started homeopathy, which helped me come up for air. I began to function again. After a few months of homeopathy, I came into contact with Greatlife and just had the feeling that I had to try this.

After several years of poor health (aside from thyroid problems, also dysfunction in the liver/other glands and poor stomach acid production = poor digestion), I had now developed fragile teeth and bones (spinal fractures and enamel erosion on my teeth), so I chose to focus on Bone and Magnesium to strengthen my bones and teeth. Now – 3 weeks later – my cavities have started to heal, and the tartar is beginning to go away. They feel smoother on the surface – before they often felt porous and dull/rough.

I’ve also supplemented with selenium, zinc, and B vitamins – classics for thyroid problems. Also, vitamin C 400 and iron. And after only these 3 weeks, I have gained much more energy and endurance. I’m no longer completely exhausted in the mornings but wake up and get out of bed with a sharp mind and energetic legs. I don’t need to sleep 10-12 hours a day anymore, and I feel refreshed after 8-10 hours. I have more patience with our 2.5-year-old and have the energy to be a happy mom. :-)

For me, the solution from poor health to good health has been in the combination of homeopathy and whole food supplements (also herbal therapy to some extent), and I can truly recommend these two methods for healing the body if you’re sick. But I also believe that supplements alone can help enormously too! With such rapid results from whole food supplements, I can only imagine how great I’ll feel after a little more time! :-)
