Probiotics can reduce pollen allergy symptoms

A randomized double-blind study conducted shows that children with pollen allergies who received Lactobacillus Salivarius, a probiotic bacterial strain found in Flora Plus+, for twelve weeks experienced fewer symptoms related to pollen allergies and were also able to reduce their allergy medications compared to children who did not receive probiotics.

The researchers tested white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, and IgE antibodies before and after the treatment. During the treatment, the children were regularly tested for the SCORing pollen allergy index.
