A new study shows that CoQ10 can improve fertility in men who suffer from low sperm count, sperm with poor motility, and abnormal sperm shape. After just three months of using CoQ10 supplements, the group that received CoQ10 had significantly better sperm quality compared to the placebo group. The researchers also found a significant positive correlation between CoQ10 concentration and normal sperm morphology, as well as SOD activity (Super Oxide Dismutase – the body's own super antioxidant). The researchers conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study with infertile men. The study was published in the scientific journal Andrologia in January 2013.
